Hi polished people! Today I’d like to share with you swatches of the Zoya Ultra Brites Collection from Summer 2016. Per Zoya’s press release for this line, the polishes include 6 stunning neons using the latest environmentally and cosmetically approved pigments.
Each of these lacquers had a similar formula: watercolor thin (similar to a jelly polish) and buildable to opaque in multiple layers. The swatches below required 4 coats to reach full opacity, and I applied one layer of white nail polish as a base for each of the swatches to give the neons an extra punch of bold electricity. Now for the swatches!
What do you think of the Zoya Ultra Brites Collection for Summer 2016? After swatching them, I feel like these polishes are much better as nail art accent colors than as easily wearable swatches. The number of coats it took to reach full opacity simply took too long (although the end result was often gorg!). Stay tuned for an upcoming watercolor nail art post on my social media accounts to prove how lovely these babies are as nail art polishes!
Thanks for stopping by!
