Hello my Mani Maniacs! I recently participated in the Zoya 3 Free Color Your World Campaign and ordered several of their polishes from the Naturel Collection, so today I’m presenting them to you in all their glory! These beautiful neutral crème polishes are a breath of fresh air after the holiday sparkle overdose and a great palette cleanser to kick off the new year.
The formula for all of the Naturel polishes was fabulous, quick to apply and opaque in 2 coats. For the swatches below I used a base of OPI Nail Envy and a quick swipe of INM Out the Door Fast Drying Top Coat.
Zoya Chantal is described as a delicious, full-coverage, French vanilla crème. This isn’t a color that I would necessarily choose to wear by itself, however I can see it looking fabulous as the base to some fun nail art or as a nice neutral polish for a job interview.
Zoya Rue is described as a full-coverage, boudoir blush crème. This is one of my favorites of the collection (I especially love the rose undertones in this polish). I also like the fact that the name Rue immediately reminds me of The Hunger Games or a lovely avenue in Paris, two things over which I am known to swoon!
Zoya Odette is described as a full-coverage, sultry orchid maroon crème. This polish is the most pigmented of the collection and has a lovely mauve undertone. Odette is a great color for 2014, as it is quite similar to the Pantone Color of the Year (Radiant Orchid).
Zoya Normani is described as a full-coverage, sable mauve crème. I’m head over heels in love with this cool taupe laced with plum.
The remaining polishes (2) in the Zoya Naturel Collection are not swatched in this post (I decided not to purchase them since I already have similar colors). They are Zoya Taylor and Zoya Brigitte.
Zoya Taylor is described as a full-coverage, light toffee crème. Zoya Brigitte is described as a full-coverage, bombshell mauve crème (obviously named after the famous French actress, singer and sex symbol, Brigitte Bardot; polish bottle images above courtesy of Zoya.com).
To put a nice little cherry on the top of this blog post, I’d like to present to you the colorblocking nail art manicure I did after swatching the Zoya Naturel polishes. This was super easy to do with a little bit of striping tape and some patience. I’m hoping to post a tutorial for you on this technique within the next week so stay tuned!
The Zoya Naturel Collection is Big 5 Free, retails for $9.00 each (US) and is available at Zoya.com, select stores/spas and in ULTA beauty stores.
What do you think of the Zoya Naturel Collection? Will you be buying any of the colors?
