Hi polished friends! I’m back from a brief vacation and am ready to start blogging regularly again! 🙂 We had relatives staying with us for two weeks and had a blast relaxing and catching up. I hope those of you that celebrate Independence Day had a lovely Fourth of July.
Today I would like to show you the summer sunshine nails I recently created using some edgy rhinestones from Born Pretty Store and two of my go-two polishes for summer: Essie’s Strut Your Stuff and Julep’s Goldie.
For this manicure I started with an opaque base of Strut Your Stuff (part of Essie’s Summer 2014 Collection) and let it dry completely. I then added the sun rays using Julep Goldie and a nail art striping brush followed by one coat of Poshé Super Fast Drying Topcoat.
Last but not least I added the rhinestone suns using the stunning multichrome rhinestone wheel I received from Born Pretty Store (item number 14724). Each wheel contains 240 round multichrome rhinestones of different sizes. They were easy to apply and added an eye-catching touch to this design.
I applied the rhinestones by using my smallest nail art dotter to add a dot of nail glue in the appropriate place. I then used tweezers to carefully stick the rhinestone to my nail bed. Check out the video below to see these steps in action:
Overall I love this manicure and think it’s a perfect representation of the sizzling summer heat. What do you think?! Let me know in the comments below!
Thanks for stopping by!
