Hi Everyone! Today I’d like to share with you some fun Paisley Nails I recently completed as part of one of Californails Nail Art Challenges on Instagram. The design was inspired by manicures from the talented @falguni_nails and @nailsbysammiietee.
For this manicure I used the following products:
- Basecoat (I used OPI Nail Envy)
- Essie polishes in She’s Pampered and Blanc
- Small Nail Art Dotters in three different sizes
I started out by painting my nails with an opaque base of Essie She’s Pampered. Once that was completely dry I then added the paisley teardrop shapes using a toothpick dipped in Essie Blanc (see the video below for a quick tutorial). The toothpick is a great nail art drawing tool that provides great precision work at a nice price.
I then used my nail art dotters to add several layers of dots along the edge of the teardrop shape, the first layer in white (Essie Blanc) and the second layer in red (Essie She’s Pampered). I then added random dots over the paisley nails and 3 sequentially smaller white dots on the non-paisley nails.
I skipped top coat on this design ~ the non-glossy finish really makes the paisley design pop!
What do you think of this design? I’d love to know so don’t hesitate to leave a comment below.
Thanks for stopping by!
