Happy New Year my lovely readers! I cannot adequately express in words my excitement over the beginning of a new year and a new chapter in my life. You’ll just have to trust me when I write that 2015 couldn’t have come sooner! After my horribly bumpy final few months of 2014, I am happily welcoming the new year and wishing each of you a year full of health and blessings.
Today I’d like to share with you what was on my digits for the inauguration of 2015. I always tend to wear a mesmerizing black topped with loads of glitter and this year was no different.
I opted for a solid black base of China Glaze Liquid Latex and topped it with four different glitters including:
- Floss Gloss Dimepiece
- Sally Hansen MeteorLight
- Ciaté Yule Rules
- Ciaté All Aglow
On the gradient fingernails (middle and pinky) I started by doing a light gradient with Floss Gloss Dimepiece, a striking holographic glitter that is by far my favorite for applying gradients. You cannot go wrong with this polish! I then did some glitter placement over top of the gradient (just near the base of the nail plate) using the fun glitters in Sally Hansen MeteorLight.
Finally, I used Ciaté Yule Rules and added a free-hand half-moon design to the index fingernail and then did the same for the ring fingernail using Ciaté All Aglow. These cute glitter minis were a recent Christmas gift from my darling friend Kerstin from Ballonmariechen.jimdo.com! They came in this cute Ciaté Tree Trinkets set which is such an adorable gift for the holidays.
Last but not least I topped this mani off HK Girl Glisten & Glow Top Coat ~ check out the glossiness this topper provides!
What was on your nails for New Year’s? Don’t hesitate to let me know in the comments below.
