Hi lovers! Today I cannot wait to show you one of my all-time favorite manis. I finally decided to try my hand at a lace and pearls nail art design and it is gorg! Thanks to the talented @lissamel9 on Instagram for the inspiration.
For this beauty I started out with a sheer base using Essie Limo-Scene and let it dry completely. I then used white acrylic paint to add the lace detail using my No. 9 brush from StylishNailArtShop.
Acrylic paint has a slower drying time than nail polish and is great to use for nail art when you are doing intricate designs that take a while to complete. It also is less likely to bleed into areas of your design when you apply topcoat and is significantly cheaper than most nail polishes, so it’s a great item to have in your arsenal!
I added the pearl accent nails using pearl studs I received in one of my Nail Art Society kits and nail glue. I was sure to apply topcoat before applying the pearl studs. I typically find that nail studs look better if you don’t apply topcoat over them, but this is just a personal preference.
Below is a quick video tutorial on this design. Be forewarned, it is quite fast! 😉
Have you done lace nails yet? I adore this design and think it would be absolute perfection for a bride on her wedding day. It is so feminine and lovely!
Thanks for stopping by!
