Hello polished friends! Today I would like to show you a swatch of one of the polishes I received in my May Julep Maven Box: the shimmering beauty Paulette.
Paulette is described as a golden lilac tulle shimmer and is part of Julep’s Boho Glam Style Profile. The bottle and dollop photos above show this polish as more pink, however in person it is definitely lilac. The golden undertones really warm this polish up and give it a subtle pop like it’s been kissed by the sun!
Two coats of Paulette were required to reach full opacity. If you are pressed for time, the sheer shimmer from just one coat of this polish is equally gorgeous. The formula went on nicely and left no streaks. Winning!
Before adding topcoat to this swatch I decided to free-hand some chevron tips for a classy yet easy nail art design. I used the lovely OPI This Gown Needs a Crown for the chevrons (see photo below).
What do you think of Julep Paulette? Did you receive it in your May Maven Box? If not, Julep polishes are available at Sephora, but the Maven Program is a much more affordable way to get Julep polishes (they are $11.20 for Mavens vs. $14.00 regular retail). If you are interested in signing up, you are welcome to use my referral link by clicking here, and don’t forget to use the coupon code FREEBOX at checkout to get your first Maven Box for $4.99 (you only pay shipping).
I’d love to know your thoughts on Paulette so don’t hesitate to leave a comment below.
Thanks for stopping by!
