Hello polished friends! Today I would like to show you swatches of the lovely pastel yellow polish Banana Peel by Jessica Cosmetics. This lacquer is part of the Jessica Cosmetics Summer 2012 Gelato Mio Collection which is comprised of polishes that are inspired by ice cream! Who doesn’t love ice cream?!
Banana Peel Swatches
After seeing Banana Peel rated as a top yellow by numerous nail art aficionados, I recently decided to add it to my nail polish arsenal. I’m super happy I made that decision! I’ve already used it in multiple nail art manicures (keep reading to see one of these!) and will be adding it to many more over the coming Spring and Summer months.
Banana Peel has a wonderful formula and applied like butter. Full opacity is obtained in two thick or three thin coats. I added one coat of INM Out the Door Top Coat to the swatch in this post for a high-gloss finish.
Here is the nail art manicure I promised you earlier! The theme for this design was Weather. Here in Colorado it has been super sunny but still snowing, so I decided on adding some sunshine and snow to my fingernails 🙂 This design was done using Jessica Cosmetics Banana Peel (of course!) and Zoya Blu. I also used striping tape and reinforcements for the sunshine nails and a medium-sized nail art dotter for the snowfall nails.
What do you think of Jessica Cosmetics Banana Peel? Although historically I haven’t been a fan of yellow polish, I simply can’t get enough of this one! I’ve been on a yellow kick lately; must be the Spring sunshine seeping into my psyche!
Thanks for stopping by!
