Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone! I can’t believe it’s already time for another monthly Julep Maven Box Review! Keep reading if you’d like the low-down on February’s Maven offering and my selections.
February Maven Offering
The February 2015 Maven offering is called The Afterglow Collection and features nine new nail polish colors with plenty of sparkle and a dash of softness. The collection also included two new beauty products: Glow Highlighting Powder with accompanying Julep Fan Brush and the Illume Eye Brightener. This collection was surely meant to brighten up the remaining days of winter!
I opted for the Customizable Maven Box this month, which basically means I selected the products I wanted this month and created my own box. It included:
Karissa ($11.20 for Mavens / $14.00 full retail), described as a holly berry crème and is the perfect red shade of polish for Valentine’s Day.
Vivien ($11.20 / $14.00), described as a champagne bubbles full coverage multidimensional glitter and offers the perfect touch of sparkle to an accent nail, particularly when paired with a bold crème nail polish. Vivien was previously released and requested so often that Julep brought it back from the vault for February’s Maven Collection!
Rock Star Hand Crème ($16.00 for Mavens / $20.00 full retail) is described as an anti-aging blend of shea butter, glycerin, coconut oil, and vitamin E that keeps hands hydrated, even after washing. I always like to keep my mani station stocked with hand cream and I was running low so decided to add this to my February Maven Box! It smells fantastic and provides great moisturization without greasiness. Winning!
I selected 1 add-on this month:
White + Red Mini Heart Nail Decals ($3.00): these were entirely too adorable to pass up! Check out the Nail Art section below to see these cuties in action! 🙂
This month the darling Jane, CEO of Julep, included a glitter lover’s dream polish as a free gift for Mavens! May I introduce you to:
Hartleigh ($11.20 / $14.00), described as a holographic heart glitter top coat, full of flash and love. xoxo!
And last but not least, here’s my nail art for this month’s Julep Maven box! The only thing I used for this look that wasn’t included in my Maven box was a thin nail art striper for the XO freehand work on my index fingernail.
Monthly Maven Summary
In summary, my February Julep Maven Box contained items with a total value of $52.60 (Maven pricing) or $65 (regular retail). I paid $24.99 for the box, so I received a $40 discount by being a Maven!
