Hi Polished Friends! Today I’d like to share with you the purrfect nail art design for Fall that includes the Dry Brush technique, a touch of sparkle and some stud action!
This nail art design was inspired by a similar design of Colleen’s at LusterLacquer. I caught a glimpse of her version on Instagram and immediately put it in my Fall Nail Art Queue. Keep reading to learn how to recreate this manicure for yourself!
Products used include:
- Base and Top Coat (I used OPI Nail Envy and Essie Good to Go)
- Essie Urban Jungle, Chinchilly and Fiji along with Julep Zelda and the stunning Ciaté Antique Brooch (one of my all-time favs!)
- A small, flat-tipped nail art detailing brush (I used the one in this set)
- Small round gold nail studs (similar to these)
- Nail Glue
- Small Nail Art Dotter
I started off by painting my nails with an opaque base of Essie Urban Jungle (except for the ring fingernail, which I painted with Julep Zelda, a lovely full-coverage gold metallic polish). I then used my flat-tipped nail art brush and added a small amount of Essie Fiji to the brush tip. Next, I lightly dusted the pinky, middle and index fingernails with the nail art brush using back and forth and up and down motions. There is no wrong way to do this, you just need to be sure to ONLY use a light amount of polish so it looks like linen and not like large streaks.
I followed this same protocol for applying linen-like striping to the appropriate nails using Essie Chinchilly. I then added glitter to my ring fingernail using Ciaté Antique Brooch until the entire nail plate was dazzling! Finally, using my small nail art dotter and glue, I added the medium round gold studs to the appropriate nails. I decided to only add topcoat to the glitter accent nail to fully preserve the linen look of the remaining fingernails.
What do you think of this nail design? It reminds me of crisp weather and sparkly golden leaves! I hope you enjoy wearing this if you give it a try! 😉
Thanks for stopping by!
