The essie Spring 2017 Collection is on the docket today and you won’t be disappointed! The vibrant crèmes in this lineup are sure to brighten up your warm spring days.
Here’s a little info from essie on the inspiration for the collection . . .
“Get ready for a wild and colorful adventure inspired by sun-filled beach days and spectacular sunsets of Baja, California! The range of shades in this collection were inspired by sapphire waves, sandy shores and creamy pink sunsets over the cactus-filled desert. These stunning, vivid colors provide the perfect palette for spring and are the idyllic backdrop for a road trip with your best friends.”
On The Roadie
First up is the lush green On The Roadie. She painted on like a dream and was fully opaque in 2 coats. She’s pictured below with one coat of essie Gel Setter Top Coat (as are all of the swatches in this post).
Next up is B’aha Moment!, another lovely crème that painted on like a dream and was opaque in 1 coat! That’s right, she’s a one-coat wonder (OCW) and is purrfect for spring nail art (stay tuned for my nail art post with the collection!).
Designated DJ is a deep, sangria plum that really makes me happy! So happy in fact that I think I need to head out for some Mexican food along with a large glass of ice cold sangria. 🙂 No really, if you don’t already have a plum polish you need this hottie, she is absolute purrfection.
Backseat Besties is a blue-leaning pink that really pops! This gal is purrty, but she required 3 coats for full opacity and that is one-too-many imo! Still a pretty result all the same.
All The Wave
Trust me when I say that All The Wave is all the rage! This indigo crème perfectly captures the deep blue sea and is fully opaque in 2 coats.
Excuse Me, Sur
Last up is Excuse Me Sur, a sun-kissed coral that has the same thin formula as Backseat Besties … end result is gorg, but application is frustration.
And there you have them ~ the polish lineup for the essie Spring 2017 Collection! Which polish is your fav? I’m really digging the darker polishes in this collection.
Thanks for stopping by!
