I’ll be the first to admit that paying $27 for one bottle of nail polish is insane. This steep price is the reason it’s taken me until this week to finally try Chanel Le Vernis. Boy am I glad my boycott has ended! My husband gifted me my first bottle of Le Vernis (Azuré) for Christmas and I am astounded by its beauty!
Azuré, a stunning duochrome polish that was launched as part of the L’Été Papillon (Summer Butterfly) collection in 2013, is a lacquerized representation of the Azure Butterfly. The image below displays this wonder of nature in all it’s glory:
And here are the swatches of this polish in action (with topcoat):
As you can see, Azuré is an absolute pleasure to look at and can be quite distracting! I would describe it as a mesmerizing blue with a teal duochrome finish. When it comes to duochromes it doesn’t get better than this!
Azuré provided full coverage in two coats and went on easily but a little streaky, so be extra careful with your brushstrokes if you’re shooting for that flawless duochrome finish.
As mentioned before Chanel Le Vernis in Azuré retails for $27.00 and is available at most Department Stores (Macy’s, Nordstrom, Saks) and Chanel.com.
What do you think? Are you a fan of duochrome nail polishes?
Until next time!
