Hello everyone! Julep came through and was able to get their black cat nail decals in my hands before Halloween (they were missing from my Maven Box earlier this month), so today I’d like to show you the cute cat dotticure I did with these decals.
For this manicure I used the following supplies:
- Base and Top Coat (I used OPI Nail Envy and Essie Good to Go)
- NCLA Los Angeles Santa Monica Short Thing and MAC Nocturnelle from the Maleficent Collection
- Medium-Sized Nail Art Dotter
- Small Nail Art Detailing Brush
I started out by painting a base of Santa Monica Shore Thing on my index, middle and pinky fingernails and a base of Nocturnelle on my thumb and ring fingernails. I then used the same polishes and added dots of the opposite color of the base on my thumb, index and ring fingernails.
Next, I used the small nail art detailing brush and added the cat’s tail to my pinky fingernail using Nocturnelle. The right brush makes all the different when painting this kind of detail. My favorite are the brushes sold by StylishNailArtShop.
Last but not least I added the black cat nail decal to my middle fingernail once the base was completely dry. I topped everything with topcoat and that was it!
What are you wearing on your nails this Halloween? This is one of my favorites ~ I’m such a sucker for anything dotted or spotted! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
